Where all things beautiful collide

With summer basically here, there’s no better time to add some freshness to your home with a few little changes and maybe some new additions.  I like to see what’s going on in both the high-end and “big box” retailers as far as furniture and other products for the home.  Design is getting better and better in the lower price point market, from West Elm to CB2, Restoration Hardware to Crate & Barrel.  I’ve edited my favorites from these stores to 20 perfect pieces to add to your summer home, actually they may just be essential!

A curved-back antique sofa looks fresh with new fabric and an unexpected mix of pieces like bird prints, mirrored sconces, and a Moroccan rug.

7.  Sconces:  Shed some new light with a clean and simple sconce with a slight nautical feel.  Add a pair to either side of a fireplace, or line an entire hallway with them.  I love this one!

8.  Moroccan Rugs:  Layer these with other rugs of other styles, like the previously mentioned natural fiber rug.
