Where all things beautiful collide

With the Gatsby days well behind us, and with that a time where you dressed to the nines whenever possible almost but not completely dead, it is safe to say we are a very casual world these days.  So what does that mean for eveningwear?  Well by all means put on those ball gowns and drip with diamonds (or vintage paste jewelry), but for those that don’t feel that ambitious, the fashions of fall have a perfect middle ground for you!  Inspired by model Karlie Kloss’s editorial with music duo Daft Punk, and shot by Craig McDean in the August issue of Vogue, there is definitely a ‘new evening’ on the rise.  Kloss wears looks from the fall 2013 collections, and I chose some of my favorite looks from the pre-fall collections to reflect this new thinking on dressing.  That thinking is shorter (mostly), more simple, with more restrained embellishments, and accessories that could go from day to night.  Still completely luxe and chic though!  What do you wear for a night on the town?  Oh, and by the way, Daft Punk’s latest record is fantastic!
