Where all things beautiful collide

Forgive me if I’ve been on a Jeffrey Bilhuber kick lately…actually I’m not sorry!  He has been hands down the most inspiring and biggest contributor to my design education than any other decorator!  I finally found an image of this pretty little Nantucket dining room he did the other day, and it got me thinking about the perfect late summer table.  This space has both a summer vibe and a touch of autumnal, (see the last image with magnolia leaves on the mirror, and a furry pillow on the dining chair) with sea fans and barnacles playing with hydrangea that blooms from summer into fall, and a nice combination of dark wood pieces with lighter woven and slipcovered chairs.  Set the table with clean white dinnerware, which is always a favorite of mine,  with woven chargers underneath, classic stemware and flatware joins the mix, with simple napkins in a solid color or color-blocked, and fresh-cut flowers combined with live plants like flowering herbs.  Make sure there’s candlelight, plenty of wine, and of course some delicious food!  I’ve broken down the look below.  Cheers!
