Where all things beautiful collide

The other day I rounded up some favorite spaces that feature marble.  Marble isn’t what it used to be.  It’s not that shiny overly fancy material it once was.  Now it can be honed to a matte finish, and is much more modern in its application.  For centuries it’s been used as a building material, but now it’s a medium in creating beautiful modern furniture, and as an accent on lamps, and as table tops, and more.  The veining of marble even inspires chic faux versions for dinnerware, fabrics, and wall coverings.  I’m obsessed with it all!  It’s cool enough for summer, but has a warm side to it that I’m in love with for fall and winter.  I searched some of my favorite stores, and products by designers I love like Kelly Wearstler and Alexander Wang, and there are plenty of ways to bring it home without having to cover your bathroom walls or your kitchen countertop with it.  A little can go a long way, but a lot can too!
