Where all things beautiful collide

I’ve been in love with the work of Apparatus Studio for quite some time now, but after just seeing the small Manhattan apartment of Casey Smith, a director for a fashion agency, full of Apparatus lighting and objects on Domaine Home, that love grew even more!  Other favorite things lately have been the recently debuted objects collection, including ceramics, an incense burner, and tote bag featuring the Strata print created with Zak + Fox.  I want very badly the brass bookends/candle holders that can combine in different configurations because of the genius design.  But the lighting is what Apparatus Studio is really known for, and the likes of Selldorf Architects, Brian Paquette Interiors, and more are adding it to the spaces they design.  Apparatus has also done some great design collaborations with Zak + Fox and Cinnamon Projects (incense), with many more in the future I’m sure!  I could also happily live in the studio where they work and create all these beauties!  I’ll let those pieces speak more for themselves!

A ‘Cloud’ light is suspended from the ceiling, while a cluster of ‘Axon’ lights sit on a console, and the incense burner rests on a round center table dividing two seating arrangements.

While it’s not burning Cinnamon Projects incense, this can come apart to be a small bowl holding jewelry or change, a vase, or whatever else you can think of!

Apparatus Studio’s studio is part gallery, part home (at least I’d live there), and full-on gorgeous!

Everything Apparatus does is so architectural, it’s no wonder architects like Annabelle Selldorf love their work.

If I had a design project like a hotel that had a long hall, I would use multiples of this chic sconce!
